Blacksmith Shop
The Blacksmith Shop at Green Frog Farm contains 1900-era smithing equipment. J. C. Moore started out with a primitive blacksmith shop and over the years he made it into a state-of-the-art shop. A gasoline motor powered his line shaft and on Saturdays a grist mill was connected to the line shaft so corn could be ground into corn meal.
J. C. was a master craftsman with the ability to create anything he envisioned made of iron. From scrap iron he fashioned a power hacksaw that is still working perfectly in the Green Frog Blacksmith Shop. When J. C. passed away, his shop tools were transferred to Green Frog.
